These 'sustainable notepads' are made from fine porcelain, yet designed to be part of common and everyday life. A surface on which to jot down unformed thoughts or theorems, and even to play games with invisible partners. A permanent medium on which to place fleeting ideas...
The 'Torn Out Note Pad' edition in this range was a prize winner at the MINO International Ceramics Festival 2011. (See:
Award in Japan for 'Torn Notepad')
The outlets stocking Helena's Sustainable Stationery are:
Middlesborough Institute of Modern Art, UK
Wonderwood Contemporary Art Gallery, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Balman Gallery, Cobridge, Northumberland, UK
The 'Torn Out Pad' version is available at one stockist only:
Mint Gallery-Shop in Brompton Design District, London.
A special variation is available online. The Pocket-size Porcelain Notepad in snugly-fitting Wood Case is a collaboration between Helena and wood-worker Dan Civico. It can be ordered on Dan Civico's website.

Sustainable Porcelain Range - more
Other pieces in this range are in development. I'm working on: table name-cards (aka place-names); fridge memo-pads; and delegate-name badges.
Usage: for use with graphite and colour pencils. Previous jottings can be rubbed out with a rubber eraser, scoured off with soap and water or wiped away with a wet wipe.
Homeware
The most recent homeware items I've been working on are: soap dishes; and buffet plates.
