Handmade ceramic tiles painted in cobalt

Making Sense.

These tiles were inspired by the notes my mother wrote when she was suffering from Alzheimer’s. The evident struggle to deal with her failing memory and the child-like notation are poignant, as is her creative adaptation of her native Polish to write English. Reading my mother's notes was an antivenin to coping with her increasingly difficult behaviour.

Visit the Making Sense project website to view all of the tile designs.

Each handmade tile is available in a limited edition of 30.
