Challenging standard approaches to design, Helena Seget has a passion for creating idiosyncratic pieces for interior spaces. Working purely in porcelain, her current portfolio includes shelves, floor tiles, furniture and wall art.
Helena also undertakes photographic projects, such as her 'Tyneside Cinema Chairs' series, and her collaborative work with her pet rat 'Tony Blair Artist Rat', which was reported on across the world. Last year, Helena took part in Design Mart 08 held at Baltic and several exhibitions held across the region. She's presently collaborating on two separate design projects and will be taking part in the 'Late Shows' at 36 Lime Street, organised by Tyne and Wear Museum and held on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th May.
Helena is a member and on the Board of Directors of 'Designed and Made', an organisation promoting designer/makers in the North East of England. Her work is sold both privately and through local galleries. Commissions are welcomed.
